Memoirs of being 35 weeks pregnant

On Wednesday we became official homeowners (yay!). We had never met our mortgage broker before closing, and when she walked into the meeting she said, "You look like you're going to pop!"

Later that day we ventured out to Home Depot to get some supplies to start working on our home. When we were checking out, this lady asked me, "Are you having twins?"

Last night I was at the grocery store and I turned a corner and heard this lady say, "Whoa." She was looking straight at my belly.

Sigh. :)

I don't know what to say. That's hilarious. I hope you know you look GREAT! You WANT to look like you're about to pop! You're about to have a BABY!

UGH! Some people have NO TACT! Is it an east coast thing? I experienced several comments similar to those with both my pregnancies. I think you look great! ;)

I can totally relate to the rude comments thing!! When I actually did have twins... I got comments like that from about six months on... towards the end, it was awful because I really was massive!

You are a tiny person in general though, so when you put a baby in there... still though, do people actually think before speaking?

I know the feeling, hang in there! I had a lady ask me if I was having my baby next week when I still had a few months left. Gotta love what people say! I am sure you look great!

Isn't it funny what people say to you when you're pregnant? Like they don't even think they're talking to a real person anymore. I remember I went to the gym when I was just over 8 months, and the guy at the front desk (he was new and hadn't seen me before) asked me if it really was safe for me to workout. When I gave him one of those looks, he tried to make it into a joke, "oh, maybe I'll call for an ambulance, just in case." Then, Mike and I were doing walking lunges and another guy came up and said, "do you think the baby will fall out?" I actually don't think I went back to the gym again until after the baby - I was freaking out too many people!!

Two more weeks, that's so exciting. I hope you are feeling good. I saw Bryan at a U of U Alumni activity in Hollywood, they were on office visits. It was good to see a familiar face and she said she is so excited to see pictures of your baby.
