As with all things Irish, Alex and I love this holiday. We spent St. Patrick's day in Ireland in 2005 where we partied in Dublin. I will never forget the sea of green, orange, and white swarming the sidewalks while paper mache floats and bagpipers paraded down the street. We learned to dance the Irish jig, and listened to a pub full of drunk Irish people sing John Denver’s “Country Roads” at the top of their lungs. But best of all, we got to enjoy that crazy Irish pride coming from every direction.
For our celebration we made stew for dinner, sugar cookies for dessert (the best shape was the one that looked like St. Patrick), and played Destination Ireland!

Surprise!
Last Monday I had a one-on-one scheduled with my boss, so I spent the morning preparing some items to discuss. As we walked into the room she had scheduled, I was greeted by all of my co-workers who had thrown me a surprise baby shower! I couldn’t have been more shocked! They went all out with balloons, decorations, cake, and presents, and we spent a good 2 hours enjoying each other’s company. To my team, especially Amy, Gosia, Crystal, Aline, and Anabel – thank you!

Our house, is a very, very, very fine house...
Alex and I made an offer on a house on Saturday, and it was accepted last night! We are so excited about it (and terrified at the same time)! It’s a 1920’s bungalow with a stone fireplace, a backyard, room to grow, and it's in a great neighborhood located just outside of Philadelphia in Glenside, PA. After we saw the home, we drove around the neighborhood and it just felt right. There’s a place called Keswick Village a couple of blocks down, and it’s an old tudor-style village with shops and a theater - it reminded me of both Germany and the Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City, Utah. :) Assuming everything goes well with the inspection, we close on April 30!
